The Elmira City School District is pleased to present a free “Cyber Safety Tips for All Parents” scheduled for Thursday January 17, 2019 from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. This event was previously scheduled for November 15th but was rescheduled due to winter weather closings.
Are you a Cyber Safe parent? The program will include online safety tips in many different online environments including internet, social media and gaming.  Law enforcement partners will also participate in the event and will offer insight into the legal ramifications of online behaviors. Select students will also weigh-in on the many online platforms, challenges and games they see their peers spending time.
As parents, we are navigating unchartered territory when it comes to raising children in the digital age. From cyberbullying to gaming with global competitors, it is critical that we not only supervise where our children are spending time online but also protect them when online. But where do you even begin? Join the Elmira City School District teachers, students, gaming experts and law enforcement for this free event to learn more about online safety tips.

Who Are Al-Anon Members?
Al-Anon members are people, just like you, who are worried about someone with a drinking problem.
Many who come to Al-Anon are in despair, feeling hopeless, unable to believe that things can ever change. We want our lives to be different, but nothing we have done has brought about change. We all come to Al-Anon because we want and need help.
In Al-Anon, members share their own experience, strength, and hope with each other. You will meet others who share your feelings and frustrations, if not your exact situation. We come together to learn a better way of life, to find happiness whether the alcoholic is still drinking or not.
